High-Volume Dust Collection Silos by SAF Teknik: Storage and Safety in One Body

Some production lines generate dust by the kilo, not the gram. In those cases, small bin collectors become a bottleneck. SAF Teknik’s dust collection silo concept solves this by combining filtration and bulk storage. The captured particulate is transferred into a sealed silo rather than dumped into open containers.

Inside the silo, engineered cone geometry and controlled discharge reduce bridging and make sure material flows out when scheduled. Load cells and radar level sensors provide live volume data, so disposal or recycling can be arranged before the silo reaches a critical fill point.

For combustible dust, explosion relief and spark detection can be integrated directly into the silo system. This turns what could be a high-risk byproduct into a managed, traceable and safer waste stream
